This award will begin with a Summer School (18-22 August, 2008) when the module God, Human Culture and Salvation will be delivered through some keynote lectures given by the lecturers on the course and some invited speakers. The module Leadership and the Pastoral Imagination will also be introduced. This is an independent Study Module which will enable the student to do research into a number of different patterns of leadership both in churches and in other institutions.

The modules The Measure of Mission, Spirituality and Religion: Theory and Construction and Issues and Methods in Research will be delivered through five separate days of teaching. In the second year Literature Art and the Christian Imagination will be taught at the Summer School and the second part of the module on Leadership will be outlined.
